The BioPsychoSocial FBA was used as part of [participant initials/ID]'s assessment process to support a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that may be contributing to behaviours of concern. The purpose of this assessment was to organise information across biological, psychological, social and environmental domains, and to consider how these factors may interact with immediate antecedents, observable behaviours and maintaining consequences identified through the broader Functional Behaviour Assessment process. This tool was used to strengthen clinical reasoning by linking background vulnerabilities, setting events, triggers and potential behavioural functions to intervention planning. The findings from The BioPsychoSocial FBA should be interpreted alongside other assessment information, including direct observation, stakeholder consultation, incident data, ABC records, file review and any relevant FBA screening tools. The formulation generated from this process is not intended to replace practitioner judgement, but to provide a structured clinical rationale for understanding behaviour and developing person-centred, evidence-informed support strategies.
